Headed to Eagle Lake now to drop Aden, William and all
of their gear for a week. Having returned from camping in the same area west
of Colorado Springs just 24 hours ago, I am beginning to feel like a camp
shuttle. It’s a bit of driving but no complaints here; the amazing blessings of
gorgeous scenery and close friendships sustain us. To commemorate the
weekend I scratched a few verses as chipmunks schemed and scurried around my
camp chair . . .

Wade the
river
  small boys
    on your back.
Don’t fish,
  swim.
Climb a rock
  touch the top
    of a tree.
 Don’t fall,
    fly.
Shine your
light
  seek the center
    of the dark.
Don’t
stumble,
  follow stars.
